Lindsay, Emily, DeDe and Kimberlee are strong female characters whose budding friendship defies the typical cliques found on prefabricated reality shows. While exploring modern day issues such as family loyalty and adversity – within a setting of knitting circles, band rehearsals and IM chats – four teenage girls discover their individual identities even as they band together to form a group.
