The Uncaging

As a sexual abuse survivor, it has been a goal of mine to show the incredible healing qualities that writing and performing poetry can provide. This book contains my personal, vulnerable, and somewhat explicit emotional and physical trauma I had to endure... and it also contains some of the first poems I wrote during my healing process about the new love I had found which enabled that healing process to happen. This book will show you a small glimpse of the emotional roller coaster ride within my heart. Feel free to stay a while with me. And remember, you are not alone.
