Correct Wine & Table Service

The Fostoria Glass Company (1887-1983) was one of the leading manufacturers of American elegant glass. Its products are avidly collected and used today. “Correct Wine & Table Service” is a promotional booklet published in 1934 that was sent to consumers on request. It contains twenty-six black and white illustrations along with two line drawings illustrating how to set the table for various occasions. This useful booklet was interned to provide customers with guidance on the proper use of glassware for breakfasts, lunches, teas, and dinners. At the same time it served as a sales tool to encourage customers to consider Fostoria glassware for all of their entertaining needs. The charming content of this booklet remains useful to this day as a reference for elegant table service. Also includes is an appendix of seven Fostoria advertisements from the period.
