Evil Town

A Florida Congressman’s wife is murdered. An FBI agent’s investigation takes him from the Pentagon to Clewiston to find who took the photo found in the woman's hand. He finds the man has committed suicide. He is then, suspiciously, steered away from the case by his superiors. Unsatisfied, he enlists two reporters to help him peel away the lies and deceit behind the murder. They unravel a web that includes sex for hire involving the President's wife; an attempt to subvert Congress to protect big sugar interests in Florida; and the leak of a war crime cover-up in Vietnam that threatens the Presidency. Evil Town is based on historical and current events. It delves into the massacre of villagers at Co Luy which occurred the same day as My Lai. The political maneuvering surrounding the Everglades and the "sugar wars" is currently being played out by power brokers, the media and Congress. Truth, honor and justice are slippery concepts in this story of politics and fragile human relationships.
