The world seemed to hate him. It always had and apparently always would. That was fine with him, just fine. The world seemed to hate him, which was good because he hated it right back with a passion that burned through him day and night. He had no reason not to. What had the world done for him all his life?
Set him up for one disappointment after another? No, the world didn’t deserve to be loved. He gave it exactly what it deserved.
A hate like no other.
One that controlled him fully and wouldn’t let him be. No, hate didn’t describe how he felt. It was much too soft for what he truly felt. The world owed him, and he was planning to collect.
