Sadie's Bargain

Thirteen year-old, Sadie Barton is a trick rider with The Cowgirl Chicks, an all-girl western trick riding team which performs at professional rodeos and entertainment venues all across the country. She is funny, gregarious and adventurous – an inspiration to the thousands of young fans she meets on the rodeo circuit. But while it may seem like a charmed life, Sadie struggles with her parents’ divorce, a lack of interest in school, and a longing to be accepted into the so-called “popular” group. She navigates through 7th grade – kicking and screaming while feeling trapped in that awkward “tweener” stage of life.
