Puebla is one of Mexico's cultural treasures. Among the things that the city is famous for are its handsome Spanish colonial buildings, many of which are decorated with colorful Talavera tiles, and its ornately decorated pottery and other handicrafts. Puebla's historical center has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
