The trouble with most daydreams is that they all too often intrude into the waking world. We’ve all had them, be it in the office, driving our cars, riding a bus, or relaxing before a TV with some rented movie grinding away. Daydreams are the original mental canvas of delusion and discovery of every bored person since we got tired of sitting in caves. Dreams are our private escapism and sometimes, if we are careless indeed, they can come alive, often with unexpected consequences.
This is the story of a rather unassuming and common man, who has the misfortune to live his ‘Walter Middy’ daydreams of being a spy a bit too loudly, and too many ears hear and misunderstand him. It sets into motion a series of events he is ill prepared for. The question is, can he separate fact from fiction, and can he deal with the all too authentic reality of a daydream come frighteningly true?
