Heroes

Heroes is a collaborative classroom, project-based learning opportunity between sixth grade students at North Duplin Elementary School (NDES) and Charity Middle School (CMS). Students at both schools entered into a consensual agreement to publish and showcase both literary and artistic works. Students participating from NDES agreed to write original essays on the following theme: Heroes. Participating NDES students submitted their literary compositions to CMS art students for illustration. The art students agreed to illustrate the provided compositions based upon their analysis of the essays. We hope that you find joy and gain insight from the experiences of young adolescent students as you read Heroes.
