It was the day before Sean was about to leave. I stood in the kitchen. I had begun to prepare a salad. I was depressed about him leaving in the morning. Suddenly Topaz hissed as a gust of wind shut the door. Bam! The vase full of flowers sitting on the counter fell crashing into a million pieces on the floor. I jumped, startled by the explosion of glass, water, and flowers. I ran over to check Topaz.
“Are you alright Paz?” I asked checking him for cuts. He was unharmed but scared.
I grabbed a broom and began sweeping up the mess. Sean appeared at the door. “What happened Darlin?” He asked.
There it was again. He was calling me. Darlin is not Gainy as he used to. I looked at him as he rushed up to me. He seemed concerned if I was hurt.
“The wind blew in and knocked the vase to the floor. It almost hit poor Paz,” I told him, dumping the last of the debris in the trash. Then I took the mop to

“If you don't want me to go then ask me to stay,” he said between kisses. “I'll stay if you ask me.”
His kisses were slow and passionate. I felt his tongue probe my mouth. His hands wrapped around me in a warm embrace.
“Stay... please stay with me...’’ I whispered. I let him hold me, my head resting on his shoulder. I sobbed softly as he rocked me tenderly cupping his hand to the back of my head.`
“Hush now, I'm here and I won't leave you Darlin.” He said, letting me cry.
“That wasn’t too hard now, was it? All you had to do was ask. I would do anything for you all you have to do is ask.” I heard him whisper in my ear.
Just then the back door opened and slammed shut. I jumped at the sound. There Sean stood in the doorway. The image that just held me in his arms faded before my eyes. That was the moment I knew beyond a
