Über Lachlan Hazelton

Lachlan has loved books and reading since he was a kid, discovering early he liked making up stories of his own. His first story was published when he was 11, then there was no turning back. At 13, his mum gave him her old Royal typewriter, presumably hoping that if he had something to do with all those stories, he might finally shut up. He’d didn’t. Lachlan has been writing for one job or another since 1996, squeezing stories in around whatever else was paying the bills at the time. He published his first book in 2001 and has been happily adding to the pile ever since. These days, other than his family, writing his books is what he loves most — although he remains very fond of coffee and uninterrupted reading time. When he isn’t writing, you’ll find him in a quiet corner with a book, doing what he considers essential research and what everyone else considers a very good way to avoid conversation. His fiction includes The Trail to Abilene western series, and Neptune One: Case Files.
