Written by 7th-grader Madelyn Kenney through the National Novel Writing Month's Young Writers' Program.

Kael is just an ordinary 13-year-old boy, except for one thing. He can turn into a lion. He's gone through life not knowing how or why he can change; he just knows that he's been able to change for as long as he can remember. Soon he'll figure out that his life changes when the man who changed him may take him back. It becomes a battle of do or die when Kael tries to escape from the very place where he was created.
