The Thing About Words Is...

Take a dive into the mind of Mario Maiale as he tries to explain the methods behind his madness in the realm of art and typography. Oh that's right, the art emphasis here is on words and fonts. Another emphasis can be placed on design influence, which can be all around us. Some things can influence us when we don't even realize it, and it's in those moments that you should express gratitude to those who did influence you. For me, it's people like Cory Anotado, who influenced the design for this book more so than I even realized. To him I'm eternally grateful, because that guy helped me in so many ways, like basically telling me a much simpler way to get those animation frames into the book without much hassle. And for putting up a "Don't F**k Up" sign in the crowd during my portfolio presentation, and telling me my design for my restaurant website sucked so that I could make it better.
