In the 1960s the Archie Comics line decided to break away from the usual group of happy-go-lucky teens and created ARCHIE'S MAD HOUSE – wacky, zany, goofy, oddball and strange stories, comedy in the silliest vein. One of their most popular characters was none-other than CAPTAIN SPROCKET, hero of the far-flung future (It might have been 1985). No, things didn't always go as planned, but in the edn.... well, in the end the story ends, let's just go with that! Somehow, while putting out these great issues, the company forgot one very important thing: copyright. During that era, if a comic was published with out a copyright notice and not registered with the U.S. Copyright office, they were automatically public domain. Twenty-one issues of MAD HOUSE are public domain for that reason, and we're bringing all the CAPTAIN SPROCKET appearances from those issues in this book!
