He is AMERICAN EAGLE, and he dedicates his life to fighting against the Nazi's, The Japanese, and other enemies of freedom during World War Two. In Military Comics #1-8 he is Jerry Noble, a ne'er-do-well senator's son who secretly uses his spare time in the navy to fight alongside his pet bird as AMERICAN EAGLE. A few months after he disappears from that title he reappears in Smash Comics #38-47 as Larry Nobel, ex-stunt man and special agent for Naval Intelligence. Few knew his identity as AMERICAN EAGLE, and Noble liked it that way. Grand Comics database states these are two AMERICAN EAGLES are not the same character – you decide for yourself. His exciting adventures have never been fully collected before, but Gwandanaland Comics – as you are probably getting used to – is the first!
