NEW BOOK! Write that Story: A Guide for Writers and Editors is a new book for students of journalism in East Africa. It will also be helpful for practising journalists and editors in the developing world. It covers the challenges of practising journalism, examines emerging trends in the profession, outlines the building blocks of media practice and discusses ethics and the law. The book teaches new writers how to create appeal, and editors how to make stories clearer, simpler, shorter and more interesting. It offers a provocative insight into the intriguing career of journalism. The author, Otieno Amisi, is currently an Editor with Oakland Media Services and a lecturer at the Kenya Polytechnic, Nairobi. He studied Education and English at Kenyatta University and Mass communication at University of Nairobi. Amisi has been published widely in local and international publications.
