In 1983 Paul Hughes joined the Territorial Army looking for adventure and excitement. He found both in the early 1980s as a STAB-Stupid TA Bastard. The Cold War looked like going Hot and the world lived under the threat of the Warsaw Pact. Britain’s Territorial Army stood ready to fight or die to save the free world.
