Whisper Jet

After more then twenty years gestation and a near cancellation finally in the 1980's British Aerospace Commercial Division got its regional jet off the ground. The initial 146-100 was a basic machine for fair weather daylight operation but later EFIS was added and in its Avro RJ configurattion it evolved into a comfortable regional transport. TNT freight carriers operated large numbers of the QT on their European night freight-carrying operations.
