When Russell discovers a strange glowing shard deep in the woods, he and his mom are pulled through a mysterious portal into a collapsing world of ruined cities, corrupted machines, and living static. Trapped inside the dying portal network, Russell learns that the shard is part of an ancient key powerful enough to control the entire system. Hunted by the terrifying Glitch King and guided by a nervous floating robot named Nine, Russell must travel across dangerous wastelands, forgotten ruins, and the heart of the Mainframe itself to find the remaining keys before time runs out.
