SLAVE CYLINDER- a collection of poems written by Prometheus Twig- is a monolithic work of art that is one of the most controversial and confrontational pieces to emerge from the crazed, insane demimonde that has haunted American literature since the latter half of the twentieth century. In many ways, it could be considered the American response to LES CHANTS DES MALDOROR. The poems contained herein are a damning indictment of so much that passes for modern life. The myths that we have been collectively sold are stripped of their glitter and revealed as worthless whores attempting to trade in human souls.
