At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Cohort...Who was this man Cornelius and what circumstances conspired to place him in a distant province of the Roman Empire at the most crucial moment of recorded history? In the trilogy the Strabo Chronicles author Richard C. Peele has woven a masterful tale of lost battles, Imperial intrigue and redeemed souls in the telling of the journey of Christianity's first Gentile convert from pagan darkness to living faith. In the second book of the trilogy ROME Cornelius finds himself in the Eternal City where he will soon be drawn into a web of deceit, betrayal and murder that will lead ultimately to the toppling of the Imperial throne itself. And through it all Cornelius must choose between the woman he loves and a kindly old Jew whose unshakable faith in the God of his people Cornelius suspects holds the key to a far greater mystery.
