This is a novella written after a daft idea hit me that what if the first world war and then second world war had never happened, how different would the world be? In particular, it is a story about how two people in the early twentieth century do not have to go to war or suffer what my family had to go through where 5 brothers went to fight the Germans and only 4 returned, with at least one of those having extreme PTSD. Ask yourself how your family experience would be if you had no world wars to face. How different would this mad world of ours be? So I chose my Grandfather and his first wife, creating them a love story for the ages.
