*501 Fetts* is an independently created photographic collector’s book documenting 501 Boba Fett-related items gathered over more than four decades. Every object was personally collected and photographed by Robert Weidenfeld, creating a unique visual record of one fan’s lifelong fascination with one of the most recognizable characters in cinematic history. The collection ranges from vintage pieces dating back to 1978 through items released in 2020. Its pages include action figures, statues, toys, games, cards, books, international releases, convention exclusives, household objects and plenty of unusual collectibles. Clean studio photography allows each piece to be viewed clearly, while an extensive index identifies the items by product name, manufacturer or series, and year whenever that information was available. The project began on Instagram in February 2017 as “The Daily Fett,” with a different collectible photographed and shared every weekday. After several years, the project grew into this book - a permanent photographic archive of 501 pieces from an extensive personal collection. This is not intended to be a price guide or a complete catalog of every Boba Fett collectible ever produced. Instead, it is a personal celebration of collecting history, preserving everything from familiar favorites to wonderfully obscure discoveries in one substantial visual collection. The book also includes the story behind the project and is dedicated to the memory of Jeremy Bulloch, the actor who first brought Boba Fett to life for generations of fans.
