'The Brabys' is both a family history and an exploration of places, notably the village of Rudgwick (and its neighbour Ewhurst), but also Lambeth. The family started as village wheelwrights, but moving from the Surrey-Sussex borders to London brought them prosperity and brought out strong innovative strengths. Returning to their roots in Victorian Rudgwick, they were landowners, farmers, and benefactors.
