The interpretation of the story and the style and format of the illustrations is up to you. In brief, the plot tells of young Selene, who lives with her mother, a weaver, in the forest. Selene loves to wander the forest, but many of the creatures that live there fear her. Her mother lets her roam free, with just one prohibition... Selene must never be out in the moonlight. And then one day Selene hears the howl of a wolf, and learns what the moon means to her, and why she and her mother have always lived such isolated lives.
