Whimsical Magazine is a new independent fortnightly publication aiming to highlight and sublimize portrait photography in all its forms, envisioned as a work of art. Additionally to awesome and unique editorial or commercial portraits, every issue will consist of interviews and articles spotlighting talents, from every part of the world, who will inspire every photography and image enthusiast and stimulate you to excel in your art,in order to make you live your passion more completely. Passion, creativity, emotion and audacity are our 4 watchwords. Introducing Natalia... Natalia Dronova is the photographer behind the lens. She spent her childhood in the Russian city of Voronezh with her mom’s grandfather, an artist and photographer and her uncle and her cousin working their direction in cinema, theater, directing, music and dancing. Equipped with such a family circle, it is therefore not surprising that Natalia developed her artistic fiber and in particular a real sensitivity for photography, which will nevertheless awaken later in her adult life. Indeed, Natalia’s photographic journey began in December 2019 when her husband gifted her a camera for Christmas. Thus, in early 2020, Natalia started photographing children’s pageants and competitions. During the pandemic, she practiced pet photography on her dog Busia and natural subjects such as flowers, trees and countryside landscapes. Later, she tried her hand at street photography. Finally, during the fall of 2020, Natalia decided to start teaching but also to experiment with people photography, which she really enjoyed!
