My Little Eye

My Little Eye is a collection of entertaining yet insightful poetic observations about life, love, relationships, the environment, mental health, religion, faith, politics, technology and many other common features and encounters in our modern lives. Steve Wheeler’s poems can at once be visceral yet subtle, wry but serious, sublime and ridiculous in equal measure. His words have power to challenge, shock and inspire. His use of imagery, literary devices such as wordplay, alliteration and repetition, along with rhythm and rhyme have become his trademarks as a wordsmith. Many pieces are written to be performed live, while others are simply a feast of visual playfulness. My Little Eye contributes a significant corpus of poetry to the ever growing and increasingly influential impact of the written and spoken word on society. With titles such as 'I Just Coughed Up A Galaxy', 'You and Whose Army?' and 'Drop the F Bomb', readers will know they are in for a poetic treat.
