1646.
It is a year where the famous Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins and his associate John Stearne are sworn under a King’s decree to seek out witches to rid this land of their unholy scourge to perform the Devil’s work.
Held in the grips of the coldest winter in centuries, villages cling to life by whatever
means they can. Within the village of Four Willows a young girl is put on trial and found guilty of her abominations against God.
Before Stearne can burn the young girl in the morning as sentence demands, her prison guard wickedly rapes and strangles her to death in the night , an act this solider has committed countless times before to innocent victims.
But this time his terrible actions will not go unpunished.
As this girl is a witch as accused. Before Hopkins and Stearne can free England from another seed of the Devil, a curse is cast upon the guard, damning him and all his kin yet to be born.
There is no escape from this terrible curse. Thirteen Apples must fall from the tree, each one knowing the same torment the girl felt before she was brutally killed.
Maxwell Thomas, is the wheelchair bound foster child of a postman.
Little does he know he was born to be the last Apple to fall from the tree.
