"Dutchess County" is a book about a courtship, a marriage, a breakup, all of those things, but more than that it explores the uncharted emotional terrain two people are left to navigate after their divorce, when they suddenly find themselves making some of the worst decisions of their lives, particularly in regard to their next relationships. It's a book about a learning curve.
