According to urban legend, during the Cold War the former Soviet Union planted an unknown number of suitcase-size atomic bombs in all the major cities of the United States. Soviet intelligence operatives were assigned the task of detonating them, upon command. For more than forty years these Weapons of Mass Destruction have been lying there, buried underground, waiting for the signal to activate. This is the tale of a retired CIA employee's attempt to save the city of San Francisco and prevent World War-III.
