"Three Camps in Odd Time" is a set of variations for snare drum based on the rhythmic theme of "Three Camps," the rudimental standard by Charles Wilcoxon. Utilizing a variety of rudiments, the variations are written within the odd time signatures of 5/4, 7/4, 9/8, 11/8, and 13/8. These exercises are an essential part of developing and maintaining strong technique. They engage both the muscles and mind - stimulating physical coordination while sharpening concentration.
