David Joseph Lachance
Dave Lachance listened to his wife and began to write fiction to reunite with his family after he returned from the 1990-1991 Gulf War. Though he originally intended to write children’s stories for his kids, “An End To War. An End To Peace.” is representative of the writings that have actually emerged. Dave has had fiction, poetry and book reviews published in various publications in Japan, Taiwan and the U.S. and several stage plays produced in the U.S. Some of Dave’s thoughts and observations have also been published in a book on war fiction by Mohammad Hanif, an Iranian literary scholar living in Iran. Mr. Hanif has also selected one of Dave’s stage plays, “Voices From The Café,” to be produced in Iran and the stage play has been translated into Farsi by a member of Mr. Hanif’s family. Dave also adapted his first stage play “Faces In The Raft” into a screen play and the screen play is now being represented to the Chinese film industry by Anton Diether.
