Born in Bristol England I spent most of my youth in Bath where I attended Oldfield boys school I Returned to Bristol in my teens and joined the Royal navy in which I served for the next twenty years My fascination with all things Roman began whilst being schooled in Bath and my interest never waivered. I read everything available on the Roman way of life, and the Legions including the classics I became tired of the holywood books,the inaccuracies, the mighty heros etc. and decided to write my own.
