Harold E. Adkins II
Hal Adkins has been a professional photographer in La Moille, IL for over 30 years and a part time writer even before that. He has previously published books on Ultralight Aircraft as well as being a contributing editor and photographer to Ultralight magazines. He is also a columnist for the Bureau County Republican in Princeton, IL. After racing sports and formula cars in road racing events for a few years in the 1970's with Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs (MC) he dropped out briefly for "a couple of years," to get his photo studio, Hal Adkins Photo up and running. The couple of years tuned into over 20 years but he finally at the age of 51 returned to the track with MC and Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) racing in the open wheel, open cockpit Formula Vee (FV) class and has to date won over 85 races and 13 class championships. He holds a private pilots license and enjoys riding his vintage... OK it is just old, Kawasaki 900 motorcyle, sometimes up to 3 times a year!
