I was born in Jamaica. I grew up in Thatch Valley located in the cool hills of Beeston Spring, Westmoreland. My love of poetry began at the age of eleven when Miss Foster my then grade 6 teacher introduced to the class the poem "Nature" by H. D. Carberry. It has remained one of my favorite poems. Whispers from Thatch Valley was inspired by real life experiences. It is a fun mix of nostalgic story-telling in poetry. The book highlights unforgettable childhood memories growing up in Jamaica as well as more serious topics. It is guaranteed to take you on an enjoyable literary journey.
