My name is Art Townsend. I was born on August 27, 1957, and I died June 11, 2009. I am one of the few who are blessed to actually write and talk about their death I wrote this book for two reasons. I wanted to tell the story of God’s amazing undeserved mercy, grace and love in my life. There is nothing in my life that I could point to that would justify Him giving me another chance. And what completely overwhelms me to this day is the fact I couldn’t even ask, beg or plead for His amazing grace when I needed it most. And yet, I received it. And this grace, this mercy, this amazing love is available to everyone. The second reason I wrote this book was the passion and desire in me to help prevent just one person from repeating the mistakes I made. If just one person would change their attitude, their faith, their eating habits or their lifestyle, then all the pain and suffering I had experienced would be well worth it.
