B.A. Jones was born into a small town in Maine, with a big sense of humour. The two rarely fit together. After a mildly tempestuous youth of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll, she left Maine with a degree in journalism (from the same university as Stephen King, whose books still scare her as she knows he doesn't write fiction) and no idea of what she wanted to do when she grew up. After 13 years as a newspaper journalist, then another 20 as a science teacher in Australia, she still doesn't. She lives in Kuranda, Far North Queensland, with the one and only love of her life of the past 30 years, Mark. And whatever cats who knock on the door.
