Bill Hood grew up in the screenprinting industry as the son of a screenprinter, the late Tom Hood. He graduated from screenprinting signage in the 1940s in Dallas, Texas, to owning and managing several of his own screenprinting shops. He has been a technical representative for a leading manufacturer, a product manager for one of the largest suppliers, and a consultant to some of the largest screenprinters in the world over the past 60 years. Today, he operates several entrepreneurial ventures, including ScreenprintMag.com, RevistaSerigrafia.com, ScreenprintBooks.com, and BillHoodConsulting.com. He is also an author of over 100 books on screenprinting and thousands of technical articles. He has visited and consulted with over 14,000 clients worldwide and, due to his extensive background and knowledge, is the most sought-after consultant in the screenprinting industry. He is a member of the Academy of Screen and Digital Technologies and the Screenprint Process Technical Research Center. He is the recipient of the Swormsted Award for Outstanding Technical Writing and the Joe Clark Innovator Award.
