Bob Owens has had a variety of jobs -- Paperboy, milking a cow during WWII, trucker, rock climber in Arizona, Staff cartoonist for State Press at ASU, teaching Puerto Ricans how to drive an M47 tank at Ft. Knox, Intelligence Officer in Germany, prosecutor and trial Attorney in Phoenix, State Circuit Judge in Utah, and after retirement, amateur geologist and hiker in red canyons, and to hundreds of summits. He kept an illustrated journal, now on volume 44, which furnishes material for a series of books in progress. He is married to Cheer, named by prophetic parents, a prophecy fulfilled, and they had a family of 5 children, plus grandchildren. They now live in St. George, Utah, pursuing too many activities, while living in a passive solar house. Bob is also a fan of poetry, has written more poems than Dylan Thomas, but fewer than Kipling. Hobby: creating ancient proverbs. For Etruscans, "A journal, like a courtesan, is always curious about who will be keeping it."
