I grew up in Salt Lake City and spent my teens in Houston and Spokane, where I developed a love for diverse cultures. At 20, I served a transformative two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Honduras, which deeply influenced my views on life, love, and faith. Returning home in September 2007, I married the love of my life a year later, but we divorced after 14 years. This personal journey inspired my book, When One Became Two: Stories of Loss and Heartbreak. Despite our separation, I still hold a place in my heart for her, hoping that perhaps in another life we might find our way back together. My academic path took me through Spokane Community College and Eastern Washington University, focusing on Spanish language studies, reflecting my passion for cultural connection. Professionally, I’ve gained diverse experience in customer service, retail, and fast food, eventually leading to my current engineering role in IT/Communications. Family, faith, and spirituality are the bedrock of my life, and writing poetry is my deepest passion. Through my poetry, I explore emotions and thoughts about life’s wonders, love, and spirituality, offering heartfelt reflections on the human experience.
