Dave Moruzzi had a 28 years military career as an enlisted aircraft mechanic, an Air Force fighter pilot, a jump-qualified Forward Air Controller, and a Foreign Area Specialist. After retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel, he spent 17 years representing aerospace companies in Washington, DC. In his off-duty time, Dave became a certified scuba diver and an avid sailor and has owned and operated both outboard-powered boats and cruising sailboats. After moving to Florida in 1989, he became an instructor in coastal navigation, a scuba diving instructor, and a volunteer with the U.S Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Civil Air Patrol. Dave’s returned to the cockpit provided another opportunity. Today he is the Director of Operations for Speed Aviation, Inc., a south Florida firm that flies panther research missions; deer, wading bird & manatee counts; & other airborne research projects. He has been flying for over half a century. He lives in Naples, Florida with his wife Liza and Bo the cat.
