Doug Rawlings was drafted in 1968 out of graduate school. He was with the 7/15th Artillery in Vietnam -- the central highlands -- for 411 days and nights. He helped form Veterans For Peace in 1985 to abolish war and to do so nonviolently. He has raised a family in Maine over these past forty years.
