Originally from Alton, Illinois, Joseph Crawford moved to Chicago in 2007 to study film at Columbia College Chicago. While there, he completed two novellas, HEAVEN SENT and BRUNETTES'LL BREAK YR HEART, a novel, HOMETOWN HEROES, and a short book of poetry called HEARTLAND: POETRY & SHORT STORIES FROM 1998 - 2006, while also experimenting in music, photography, art curation, and filmmaking. In 2014, Crawford moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he continues to write, and has since released a second book of poetry, WINDY CITY: POEMS & SHORT STORIES FROM 2007 - 2014. Crawford is currently working on a series of novels loosely based on his Chicago experiences, as well as a full-length film called WEED & BREWS.
