I have always had a special love of horses since I was a small girl growing up in Oregon. However, it wasn't until later in life that I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to have a horse ranch of my own. Because of the special horses we raised, known as the Kiger mustang, I was introduced to people from many walks of life, including celebrities such as Bo and the late John Derek, Jeffrey Katzenberg of DreamWorks, and Larry Mahan. I was also introduced to William Shatner in 1996, when he did a charity event in Burbank, California headlined "Star Trek Goes Country", a benefit for disabled children. Our Kiger Mustangs were invited to be a part of the entertainment. In my book I tell of my experience with these wonderful people and many more. I am a living example of... your dreams can come true!
