Martin Pickering
Martin Pickering is a Technical Writer and Copy Editor who lives on the Greek island, Crete, in the Mediterranean. He has worked for multinational companies including GEC Telecoms, Siemens and the Japanese company, Brother Industries. From 1995 till 2017 he ran his own 'SatCure' mail order business. His writing career began in the nineteen-eighties when he published a CB radio newsletter and also began to write monthly articles for magazines. His first real, printed book, "The CB Eprom Data Book" was published in 1987, following a visit to Phoenix, Arizona. Then he realised that it was possible to make a lot of money by writing and he's been trying ever since. (His wife finds him very trying.) Apart from English, he speaks a little German, French and Greek - just enough to be dangerous. He can also say "where is the toilet" in Japanese, "Good day" in Finnish and "two beers, please" in Spanish: phrases which have proved to be extremely useful for a thirsty man with a weak bladder.
