Max lives on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia with his wife, Robyn and cat, Cat. He has travelled extensively in USA, Europe Asia and Australia and has seen many wacky situations which have been the inspiration for some of the incidents in the book. All the characters are completely ficticious and bear a resemblance to no-one except for Barbie with whom Robyn, his daughter Melanie and himself shared a very funny afternoon in Rudesheim; oh yes and Ace, who resembles a few aviators he knows. He has held a private pilot's license and a commercial marine skipper's license. He has a degree in Commerce and studied law until he couldn't bring himself to sit the exam in legal ethics. He currently works in the family Information Technology business QRes Reservations Systems which has it's property management software installed in 6 countries around the world.
