Amin Modad is an entrepreneur and expert on trade development. He served as Sr. Policy Advisor to the Chairman of the National Investment Commission and three successive Ministers of Commerce. He also represented Liberia at World Trade Organization and has led or coordinated the development of major policies that affect Liberia's trade & investment environment. With both public and private sectors experiences, he presents an objective perspective on the Liberian economy. As an entrepreneur, he owns a hotel, a beverage plant, and has diversified interests in real-estate and transportation. He has served on several public and private boards including the First International Bank, AME University Foundation, and the Liberian Petroleum Refining Company. He is married with three kids and is engaged in several philanthropic activities including a privately funded orphanage for disadvantage children. Modad himself paints and sculpts; he is an ardent patron of Liberian arts and crafts.
