Born in Tipton in The Black Country in the English Midlands, worked on the buses, as a navvie, a qualified mechanical engineer, a qualified teacher with a Masters Degree. Now living in Shropshire surrounded by the rolling green hills of the county. Began a writing career during an extended stay in hospital.
