Shannon Richards was born and raised in Greer, SC by relatives, since both of her parents were in jail. She dealt with low self-esteem as a child/teen and feelings of abandonment. Through it all she was faced with difficult situations including rape, abusive relationships, and dealing with a child when I was unsure if I was ready to be a mother. Through it all she has become a strong, independent single mother working as an Account Manager at a large multinational financial institution.
