Jiryu Mark Rutschman-Byler
Jiryu Mark Rutschman-Byler is a Soto Zen Buddhist priest in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. Ordained a priest in 2002 and serving as shuso in 2008, he has lived full-time in temples and monasteries in the U.S. and Japan since the age of twenty, 1996. His writing has appeared in Buddhist periodicals including Buddhadharma and Turning Wheel, and he maintains the "No Zen in the West" blog at www.nozeninthewest.com.
